VEGAS MUSIC ROUNDUP: Usher Previews Super Bowl Set

Usher is leaking details about his Super Bowl halftime show at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, February 11. More than 100M people are projected to view the R&B superstar’s 13-minute performance, which will be produced by the NFL, Apple Music, and Jay-Z‘s Roc Nation.
The eight-time Grammy Award winner says he plans to use his 2011 Super Bowl appearance as a guide. That’s when he guested during the Black Eyed Peas’ set by descending from the Cowboys Stadium ceiling to perform his hit, “OMG.”
Though confirmations are lacking, Jermaine Dupri, Ludacris, and Lil Jon are all hotly tipped to perform in Usher’s set.
Usher recently wrapped his second hometown residency, which began in July 2022 at the Park MGM’s Dolby Live. His first began in 2021 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Believe it or not, seats are still available for the big game, but the cheapest will cost you $11K.
Tony Orlando to Retire
Tony Orlando, who performed his first Las Vegas concert in 1973 at the Riviera, has announced that he’s tying a yellow ribbon around his career.
The 79-year-old singer — whose 1970s hits include Knock Three Times, Candida, and Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree?— will hang up his microphone after appearing Jan. 19-20 at the Orleans?and Jan. 21 at the South Point.

Speaking of retiring, pop-punkers Sum 41 will bring what they claim is their final headlining tour to Las Vegas on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19 via Ticketmaster.
Second Eye Blind
Third Eye Blind is slated to become the second act to play the Fontainebleau’s BleauLive Theater on June 22. Tickets, $69-$299, are on sale here. Post Malone broke in the venue?during the Fontainebleau’s sold-out New Year’s Eve weekend.
Colombian singer-songwriter Maluma will perform a concert exclusively for SiriusXM and Pandora on February 8 at The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The concert is open to SiriusXM and Pandora subscribers only. Those who wish to attend should RSVP here.
