VEGAS MUSIC ROUNDUP: The Killers’ First Vegas Residency Coming to Caesars Palace

The Killers?will take over for Adele at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace this summer.
The first residency from the Las Vegas-bred rockers will consist of eight dates in August: 14, 16, 17, 21, 23, 24, 28, and 30. It will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band’s debut album, Hot Fuss, which The Killers will perform front to back.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday, with a presale on Thursday, via Ticketmaster.
I’ve always talked about being drawn to Caesars Palace, and I love being in that room,” singer Brandon Flowers told the Las Vegas Review-Journal ?in 2022.
“Weekends With?Adele” performs its final show at the Colosseum on June 15, 2024. Following her run, the 35-year-old pop superstar told a recent audience she plans to get fit and play bingo.
“My grandmas and my aunties when I was younger would play bingo on Tuesdays and Thursdays,” Adele said. “I used to think that maybe they had a gambling problem, and it wasn’t until I was older I realized it was a socializing thing more than anything.”
Pearl Jam to Make Up COVID Cancellation
Pearl Jam’s first Las Vegas show in 16 years was supposed to happen on May 20, 2022, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Then bassist Jeff Ament tested positive for COVID-19 two days earlier.
Now, the Seattle band will make its first Las Vegas appearance in 18 years on Thursday, May 16. More Pearl Jam shows could be added. No shows have officially been announced yet.
Pop-punk Avril Lavigne’s 27-city “Greatest Hits” tour will stop at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday, June 1. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 26 at 10 a.m. PT via AXS.com. An artist presale starts Wednesday at 10 a.m. PT, and Live Nation and AXS customers can purchase tickets starting Thursday at 10 a.m.
The list of confirmed musical performers at Super Bowl LVIII continues to grow. The show, which features halftime headliner Usher, will add Reba McEntire singing the National Anthem, Post Malone singing “America the Beautiful,” and Andra Day singing “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” The big game is scheduled for February 11 at Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium.
