Boxing greats Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are fighting again, though for now only on social media.

Pacquiao was a slight favorite against Keith Thurman during last Saturday night’s fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The 40-year-old Pacquiao became the oldest welterweight champion in the victory, and fifth-oldest boxer in history to win a world title.

Mayweather was in attendance, and took to social media to express his disgust in always being associated with Pac Man.

I find it real ironic how every time Pacquiao’s name is brought up in the media, my name is always attached to it,” Mayweather wrote on Instagram. “This man’s entire legacy and career has been built off its association with my name and it’s about time you all stop using my brand for clout chasing and clickbait and let that man’s name hold weight of its own.”

Pacquiao countered on Twitter, “You come to my fight and then use my name in a post but I’m the one that is trying to stay relevant? If you want to be relevant again… #MayPac2.”

Rematch Odds

Mayweather defeated Pacquiao in May 2015. Manny, however, said he was battling a right shoulder injury during the fight.

The hyped bout drew a record 4.6 million pay-per-view buys, but the general consensus among fans and boxing analysts was that the spectacle failed to live up to expectations.

Pac trainer Freddie Roach told TMZ today, “Floyd would be a fight we’d want. I’d like to get that one back one more time. I know we can do much better. We had an injury in that fight, but regardless, we lost a close decision. I know Manny can do much better than that.”

“I really think Manny can knock him out,” Roach concluded.

With speculation abundant, the Westgate SuperBook has launched a line on the hypothetical fight. The casino has Mayweather the favorite at -180, and Pac the underdog at +150.

Mayweather said after watching Pacquiao vs. Thurman, “Bottom line, I make more money than you; I beat you, then I signed you! I was only at your fight supervising you, my employee, as any real BOSS would do.”

Pacquiao Opponent

Despite being 40 years of age, and also an elected senator in the Philippines, Pacquiao isn’t ready to hang up the gloves.

I can give a good fight,” Pac he said after beating Thurman. “I can entertain the fans.”

Oddsmakers are taking wagers on who will step into the ring with him next. The likeliest is Errol Spence Jr. (-150) – an undefeated 25-0 boxer who has won 21 of his fights by knock out.

Amir Kahn is next (+250), followed by Shawn Porter (+300), Terence Crawford (+500), and Mikey Garcia rounding out the top five at +1200.

Mayweather is a distant +2000. At that line, every $100 bet would net $2,000 should the two superstars once again meet inside the ropes. An even longer option is Conor McGregor, the retired UFC star, who is at +10000.
